Game Day in Hooville
Where two or more Hoos are gathered, a good time is had by all.
Upper South Lot. Directly across from the doors to Bryant Hall. A literal stone's throw away. Even for an unskilled D-lineman.
VAF generously provides us with Spots 785-786 each season. Look for our big white tent.
We're fully up and running 2.5 hours before kickoff, and we start shutting it down ~15 minutes before kickoff so everyone can get into the game.
We're entirely volunteer run, so we don't want those who are lending their time and energy to miss out on too much of the game. Befriend the folks a few spots over if you want to keep tailgating.
Bring 'em if you got 'em.
Bring those, too, if you got 'em.
Seriously. We don't want you to miss out on the fun because you're worried about what to do with your little ones. Heck, leave them with us if you wanna pay someone else a quick visit. We'll show them the ropes.
We do our best to provide kid-friendly food options. Think applesauce pouches, goldfish, juice boxes, fruit snacks, and Pirate's Booty. Pregame meals don't come any better.
Yep, this is a classic American tailgate so we have both.
Expect a few standard catered offerings, typically from our friends at The Korner or Wayside Fried Chicken. They're both generous and longtime supporters of our group. Additionally, a mix of non- and alcoholic drinks, including selections from our friends at Virginia Eagle Distributing.
Orange? Blue? A festive mix of both? Your call, chief.
Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zippo. We just want you to come back, see friends, and have a good time.
If you're inclined to contribute we'd be foolish to decline the offer; we're wholly reliant on the generosity of the Brotherhood to fund our activities. Scan the QR code on-site, or make an online gift here. None of this exists without your support.
We're pleased to once again offer pregame sideline access.
-
Alumni only. The sidelines will be tight, so this offer is extended to just you. No family, neighbors, coworkers, or Bumble dates unfortunately. Thanks for your understanding.
-
Registration required. Only those with a pass will be allowed onto the field. Registration opens 10 days prior to kickoff and closes Wednesdays at midnight, provided there are still passes available.
-
You still need a ticket. The sideline pass isn’t a pass into the game. Tickets will be scanned as usual.
-
Pickup your pass at our tailgate. Big white tent. Outside Bryant Hall. Can't miss it. This is the only place to get your pass.
-
There are three main ways Alumni can get tickets:
-
Enter the lottery for Complimentary Tickets. Limited quantity. More info. below.
-
Purchase thru Alumni link, in Section 118. Limited quantity.
-
Purchase thru UVATix.com, like the general public.

Requests Flow Thru LAVA
============================
-
Submit ALL requests via LAVA. LAVA is our new network for connecting alums. ALL requests must be made via your LAVA account—it's the only way for us to keep track of everything given how many requests come in, and how busy game weeks get for everyone. Any emails, texts, or phone calls for tickets will be routed to LAVA. Thanks for your understanding!
-
Not familiar with LAVA and unsure if you have an account? How to setup an account. Reach out to info@lifeaftervirginia.org with questions.

Overview + Policies
============================
-
You put in the work and helped shape our program. We want you, your family, and your friends to come back, and we want to make that as easy as possible for you.
-
Each Alum is eligible for two (2) comp tickets per home game (one for you, one for a guest).
-
Away games. Comp tickets are unfortunately not available for away games. Available for purchase here.
-
Submit your request early! The LAVA request form automatically opens three weeks prior to the game. It will remain open until two days prior to kickoff, or until our ticket allotment has been used — whichever comes first.
-
Quantities are limited. We'll do our best to accommodate requests, on a first-come, first-served basis, but when our allotment is gone, it's unfortunately gone.
-
Requests MUST be submitted by the deadline. Game weeks get busy, particularly as we get closer to kickoff. Form automatically closes two days prior to the game (i.e. Thursday | 4:30 PM ET — Wednesday for FSU). If you come knocking after the deadline we can't guarantee anyone will be available to help you. Most likely not. In that case your best bet is to try Options #2 and #3.
-
Please don't contact Katie. She's moved into a new role and no longer handles tickets.
-
Tickets are issued electronically. Here's how that works.
-
Read the Compliance fine-print. In your LAVA account, you will complete the electronic version of the form below. Please familiarize yourself accordingly.
=================================
Requesting Additional Tix
=================================
-
If you need more than two complimentary tickets, extras may be available for purchase from our allotment.
-
There's a place to note that request on the sign-up form.
-
Once your form is submitted, allow 12-24 hours for the request to be entered into the system.
📞 Important...
-
Then call the Ticket Office: 434.924.UVA1. Share your name, and that you're with the Virginia Football Alumni Club.
-
They will process payment over the phone for the extra tickets.
-
They will try to place your additional seats next to your comp tickets whenever possible.
============================
Important Note
============================
-
While this hasn't been a big issue in the past, we ask that you only reserve tickets if you are reasonably certain you can attend. This helps us avoid turning away someone who can commit early in the week.
-
We understand last-minute changes happen, and that’s fine — but if reserving without attending becomes a recurring issue, UVA Football reserves the right to adjust our ticket policy to ensure fair access.
Thanks for adhering to these policies. We're pleased to offer this perk, and in order to do so timely, effectively, and fairly we needed to make some changes to how the process was run.

-
-
We unfortunately don’t have a lot of influence over parking. Pretty much none. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zippo.
-
We don't have access to any passes, as we do with tickets. Parking is a separate beast.
-
Parking near the stadium is limited, and VAF manages all of the passes for those lots.
-
VAF donors can purchase single-game passes, with proximity to the stadium determined by a donor’s giving level.
-
Non-donors can reserve single-game paid parking in nearby garages.
============================
Accessible Parking
============================
-
A shuttle from The Park is available. This will take guests directly to the stadium gates for drop-off.
-
This option also exists from the JPJ lots.
One of our brothers recently took advantage and had this to say:
"... We were sent to the parking area by the Law School where we parked for free, and there was plenty of space for more vehicles. Buses there took everyone to the Stadium (10 min. ride, 2 hrs. before kickoff). Handicapped persons and accompanying friends and family were given priority, so we were directed to skip the lines and we got on a bus first. I hope this kind of helpful service continues throughout the season..."
